Best Indian food in town- this is the OG Indian restaurant in Asheville. It’s family run, open over 23 years, and I’ve been coming here that long. It remains one of my favorite all-time Indian restaurants, and definitely my favorite in Asheville. It’s not trendy, it doesn’t have the PR of some places, but it’s the best tasting homestyle food and handmade naan around. I take all of my out-of-town guests here and it never disappoints. My go to order is vegetable korma with garlic naan- perfection!

My sister is soon to have a birthday so on our day out for lunch we went to India Garden. My sister is absolutely obsessed with their Kesar Malai Kabob and I had no need to ask her what her choice would be for lunch. I knew and I agreed. My first introduction to this type of cuisine occurred in this very restaurant by our friends. I was hooked. I have enjoyed many dining experiences here in Asheville during our tenure here but few as consistent as this location. It is kindly staffed by folks dedicated to your experience there, there is no better food to be had anywhere, it is meticulously clean, the environment lends itself to conversation. If you are unfamiliar with this dining gem-Go there! I've had my Chicken Tikka fix for the time being but it will be calling me again soon and I will answer the call. Parking free and plentiful.

India Garden is hands-down the best Indian food in Asheville. The lunch buffet is fresh, flavorful, and constantly restocked — the butter chicken and saag paneer are standouts, and the garlic naan comes out hot and pillowy. Spice levels are done right: real depth of flavor, not just heat. The staff is warm and attentive, the dining room is clean and comfortable, and portions are generous for the price. Whether you're an Indian food regular or trying it for the first time, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend!

I've been going to India Garden for MANY years and the food has always been excellent, though I've never written a review. Well, tonight, I was SO impressed - I held a surprise 70th BDay gathering for my partner with a group of TWENTY people. I called in advance, afraid to admit that we might have 20-25, but they didn't hesitate to welcome us. They were SO organized and efficient. I can't imagine how the kitchen prepared all of those different dishes, plus drinks and bread and appetizers, but they waved their magic wand and delivered all of those meals pretty much at the same time - as fast as they could bring them out of the kitchen. Everyone seemed to love what they ordered. Quality is a consistency here. They also allowed me to bring by cake during their off hours and brought the cake out after our meal along with little plates, utensils, and a cutting knife. Staff was cheerful throughout (there have been some times in the past I might not have said this, but they have great folks working there now!). I HIGHLY recommend India Garden any time you are craving Indian food or have some out-of-towners visiting.

We chose this Indian restaurant because it is located in a large shopping center with lots of parking. We were greeted by a friendly woman as soon as we entered. She directed us to a table, took our drink orders and pointed out the buffet. There were so many options to choose from. I opted to try a little of everything. It was all very good.
